Self-Pay Information

The self-pay rate for a 50-minute therapy session is $160.

Payment is accepted by debit card, credit card, or HSA card. Payment is due at the time of the scheduled session.

Why Choose Self-Pay?

Choosing to pay for therapy directly rather than using insurance can offer greater privacy, flexibility, and control over your care.

Greater privacy
When you use insurance, your insurance company generally requires information about your treatment in order to determine coverage. This can include your diagnosis, symptoms, treatment plan, and other clinical information. With self-pay, you can choose not to submit claims to your insurance company, which means this information does not need to be shared with your insurer for the purpose of obtaining reimbursement.

More flexibility in your care
Insurance plans may place limits on the number or frequency of therapy sessions they will cover, or require additional review to continue treatment. With self-pay, there are no insurance-imposed session limits or authorization requirements, allowing you and your therapist to determine the frequency and duration of therapy based on your needs and goals.

Greater control over your treatment
Using self-pay means that decisions about your care are made between you and your therapist rather than being determined by what your insurance plan will cover. This can provide more flexibility in choosing the type, frequency, and duration of treatment that feels appropriate for you.

Using an HSA

Self-pay sessions may be paid for with an HSA card. Whether your specific HSA plan allows reimbursement for a particular expense is determined by your HSA administrator, so you may wish to confirm eligibility with your plan directly.
